Hunter Mountain features a 1,600-foot (488 m) vertical drop.
From its inception in the late 1950s, the management of Hunter Mountain has employed extensive snowmaking facilities. Hunter was the first ski destination in the state of New York to install snow-making, the first in the world with top-to-bottom snow-making, and the first in the world to have 100-percent snow-making coverage of the mountain.

The resort offers snow tubing and snowshoeing, snowboarding and skiing.
Hunter Mountain has two terrain parks and holds freestyle events throughout the ski season.

Belleayre Mountain has 50 trails, parks and glades, a vertical drop of 1,404 feet, 8 lifts and 4 lodges.
Great for beginner and experts. From easy green runs to the bumps and glades of the expert terrain, you will find something to enjoy.
Belleayre Mountain was declared "Forever Wild" by the New York State Forest Preserve in 1885. Early on, skiers would side-step or hike their way more than 3,000 feet to be the first to make tracks down un-named and woody trails.
It would later become the center for winter sports in the region and an economic catalyst for the surrounding communities.
